Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below only shows time periods that are reserved not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your instructor if the final exam for the course will be conducted during this time.
Before registering, be sure to go over the Goethe exam guidelines and the terms and conditions on each exam page. Register for the appropriate level of the exam.
Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam information. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or hearing or visual impairment, contact the exam provider directly. Make sure to provide a detailed document upon registration.
Faculty may find their exam times through the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list with exam times for courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class times of the final exams.

Registration
The exam schedule is accessible online and students are advised to review it. However it is important to note that the final exam schedule could be altered at any time. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors for the exact time and date of their test. Students should also print the official list of questions to bring with them to the exam.
In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and conditions and terms. These are available on the exam's individual page. After registering, students acknowledge that they agree to these terms and conditions.
Exam sites try their best to accommodate participants who have special needs. The nature and the extent of these requirements should be declared on the registration and confirmed by a medical attestation. The locations for the exam must be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.
If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is suggested to contact their department or instructor to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to have three exams on the same day. However, this can result in a lot of stress and can affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, Karta Xpress Poland might not be able to give a makeup exam on another day.
Students must go through their course materials prior to taking the test and work on their German skills. The exam is a paper test that tests your ability to read and write German. The exam results are reported on a scale of A1 to C2. Students who successfully pass the test receive an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate documents achievement of language level A1. This level corresponds to the initial stage of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free of charge. Students are required to carry a valid government ID to the examination. If they do not present an acceptable photo ID will be disqualified from taking the examination.

Fees
You'll need to pay an exam fee if you wish to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the cost of the course.
Practice tests give you an overview of the style, wording and level of questions on the exam. They help you assess your understanding, find areas of weakness and increase your chances of passing the test.
Please be aware that the exam fee is not refundable. Exam results can only be emailed and not via telephone.
